Editorial Policy on Copyright Assignment and Use of Published Material

1. Copyright Ownership and Assignment

Authors who submit manuscripts to Revista Alergia México retain the moral rights to their work. However, as a condition for publication, they must assign to the Journal the exclusive economic rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication, and transformation of the article for editorial, academic, and scientific dissemination purposes.

This assignment:

  • Is free of charge and for an indefinite period.

  • Applies to any medium or format (print, electronic, digital, or future technologies).

  • Allows the Journal to include the article in databases, repositories, indexing platforms, and other systems for academic dissemination.

Authors are required to sign and submit a Copyright Assignment Form, available on the Journal’s website.

2. License of Use

Upon publication, articles are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

This license allows third parties to:

  • Share (copy, distribute, and publicly communicate) the work under the following conditions:

    • Properly credit the authors and cite Revista Alergia México as the original source.

    • Not use the material for commercial purposes.

    • Create derivative works.

Other Creative Commons licenses may be used for special issues, with prior notice to authors.

3. Author’s Right to Reuse

Authors may:

  • Share the final published version of the article in institutional repositories, academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate), personal websites, or databases, after official publication, provided that:

    • Revista Alergia México is clearly acknowledged as the original publisher.

    • The DOI and citation of the published version are included.

  • Use the article for teaching, conference presentations, and other non-commercial purposes.

4. Use of Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions to use any third-party content (e.g., figures, tables, images) included in the article. The Journal assumes no responsibility for any copyright infringement.

5. Declaration of Originality and Exclusivity

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and unpublished, and is not under review by another journal.

  • It does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

  • All co-authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript.

In cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or copyright conflicts, the Journal will follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

6. Retractions, Corrections, and Article Withdrawal

If major errors, ethical concerns, or legal issues are identified after publication, Revista Alergia México may:

  • Publish corrections or errata.

  • Issue an official retraction.

  • Remove the article from the Journal’s website and associated platforms, with a public notice explaining the reasons.

7. Supplementary Material and Reuse of Content

Authors may submit supplementary files (e.g., extended tables, datasets, videos, code), provided that:

  • They do not compromise confidentiality or third-party rights.

  • They have the required permissions.

  • They are properly referenced in the main article.

Supplementary content is subject to the same copyright and licensing terms as the main article.
