Revista Alergia México serves as the official journal of the Mexican College of Asthma, Allergy, and Clinical Immunology (CMICA), an institution with deep roots in the field. CMICA evolved from the Mexican Society of Allergists, founded in 1946, later rebranded in 1967 as the Mexican Society of Allergy and Immunology (MSAI), before adopting its current name in 2000.

Furthermore, the journal is the official scientific platform for the Latin American Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (SLaai), legally registered in Asunción, Paraguay, and for the member societies of the World Allergy Organization (WAO).
